Kraft Paper Bag Manufacturing Methods

Kraft paper bags are popular due to their environmentally friendly properties, especially in European countries where they are widely used. So, what are the different ways kraft paper bags are made?

1. Small White Kraft Paper Bags: These bags are typically produced in large quantities and have a wide range of uses. Many businesses require these bags to be inexpensive and durable. Usually, these bags are machine-formed and have their drawstrings attached – a completely machine-operated process.

2. Medium-Sized Kraft Paper Bags: Medium-sized kraft paper bags are typically machine-formed and then have their drawstrings attached manually. However, due to limitations in the size of kraft paper bag forming equipment in China, and the fact that drawstring attaching machines can only attach drawstrings to smaller tote bags, the manufacturing process is limited by the availability of machines. Many types of bags cannot be produced entirely by machine.

3. Large bags, including kraft paper bags with a reversed end, and thicker yellow kraft paper bags. These bags are entirely handmade. There are currently no machines in China capable of producing these bags by hand. Therefore, they can only be made by hand. The production cost of these bags is relatively high, and the quantity produced is not large.

4. Regardless of the type of kraft paper bag mentioned above, if the quantity is not large, they are generally made by hand because machine production of kraft paper bags results in high waste and cannot handle small quantities.
